Social Media Birmingham was born in May 2007 by Daniel Walters with the slightly hair-brained idea that there was a need to document Social Media in the greater Birmingham, Alabama area. Apparently, the internet wasn’t doing a good enough job.
After frustrating himself with the feudal attempt, he put the blog into hibernation for nearly two years while things percolated. In May of 2009, Social Media Birmingham re-activated with the same great idea *cough*.
Since the relaunch, it now serves as a place to provide unique commentary (i.e. my hair-brained ideas) on all things social media, with an emphasis on Birmingham and the Southeast.
