I’m a technology geek, and I’m ok with that. What I’m not ok with is people associating a digital lifestyle with living life like a hermit. Or Programmer. Practically the same thing, but I won’t split hairs on this one.
Living a digital lifestyle no longer means you have to be hunched over a computer talking with old guys on some message board. I’ve decided that, for me, it’s about enhancing online conversations with real-world interactions. It’s about experimenting with new technologies and learning how they will change the landscape of how we communicate and help us build personal communities in ways that were never possible before. It’s about meeting new and interesting people using these technologies and sharing our experiences.
Social Media Birmingham is my personal blog dedicated to being an digital advocate for thoughtful conversation, on and off-line. Plus, I plan on having a whole bunch of fun along the way.
