Christmas Music: The original RT

I was doing the dishes this morning. Well, it was technically afternoon since I slept till noon, but that’s beside the point. My wife was decorating the Christmas tree and blaring Christmas music over the Ravens/Colts game that I was very interested in watching in between scrubbing the sloppy joe off the electric skillet.

In between renditions of Jingle Bell Rock and Feliz Navidad over the surround sound, I dried my hands long enough to grab a glance at Twitter to see that someone retweet something funny. I walked back to the sink when it dawned on me that Christmas Music is kinda like retweeting. After all, I can think of 10 renditions of Silent Night off the top of my head. And when I look at Twitter, I know when there is something important that I need to read first when I see it 3-4 times in my stream or see 2-3 mentions of friends in one tweet. While the content is not ours, we feel the need to share it with just about anyone who will listen. And if we share the good stuff, people who like our prospective will follow us and share great things with us. Everyone’s life has been enriched and the world makes sense again.

Nothing ground breaking, just one of those “duh” moments I wanted to share.
